Trade FAQ

Straight answers to the questions bars, pubs, hotels and wholesalers ask us most. If yours isn't here, email trade@nimsnaturally.com or call 01795 424238.

Where are Nim's garnishes made?

Everything is sorted, checked and packed at our BRC AA accredited, allergen-free factory in Sittingbourne, Kent. We've been air-drying fruit here since 2014, and in 2023 the business received a King's Award for Enterprise.

Where does the fruit come from?

Anything that grows in Britain comes from Britain: our apples and pears are surplus from Kent orchards. Fruit that doesn't grow here, like citrus, pineapple and dragon fruit, comes from its country of origin, where we work with our partner production. Every batch is checked, sorted and packed to our own specification at our factory in Kent.

How quickly can you deliver?

Stock is held in Kent and trade orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Direct trade orders over £70 are delivered free. Under £70, delivery is £4.50 by Royal Mail Tracked 24. Orders under £150 go by Royal Mail, which is usually next day but not guaranteed; if you must have next day, ask us for a courier.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Bars and restaurants can buy a single 100g bag from our trade shop. Distributors and wholesalers order by the pack of 5 or the kilo, with a £250 minimum, carriage paid.

How long do they keep, and do they need a fridge?

Twelve months from packing, at room temperature. No fridge, no prep, no waste. A bag that's opened on a Saturday night is still good months later.

Made and packed in KentBRC AA accredited, allergen-free and zero food waste. One ingredient in every bag: the fruit.

How many serves are in a bag?

It depends on the fruit. A 100g bag of lime holds about 55–60 slices, lemon 70–80, orange 40–45, grapefruit 35–45. One slice is one serve, so a bag of lime works out at about 9p a drink, or 6p from a 1kg bag. Every product on our price list shows the count and the cost per slice.

Are they really allergen-free?

Yes. Our factory handles no allergens at all, so there's no risk of cross-contact. Every product is one ingredient: the fruit, air-dried. Nothing added.

What about food safety paperwork?

We hold BRC AA accreditation and can supply specifications, allergen statements and certificates of analysis for every product. We've supplied national pub and restaurant groups, hotel groups and online drinks subscription boxes for years, so we're used to supplier onboarding.

Can you pack to our own spec or label?

Yes. We make single-slice and multi-slice packs for hotel rooms, cocktail kits and letterbox boxes, in plain packs or with your label, and we blend own-label seasonal mixes. Tell us what you have in mind and we'll quote.

Why dried rather than fresh?

A bar that garnishes with fresh fruit throws a lot of it away: the ends, the browning, the half-lemon left at the end of the night. Dried slices are used one at a time and the rest keeps. Every slice looks the same, so a G&T looks the same on a Tuesday afternoon as it does on a Saturday night, whoever's behind the bar.

How do I get prices or samples?

Trade prices are on our trade page. Distributors can ask for the wholesale list. Samples are available on request: email trade@nimsnaturally.com with what you'd like to try.
